The Tax Department of Cyprus recently introduced the new digital taxation platform which is now fully operative. The electronic portal was created for the concentration of all information related to tax in one unique digital space. The Tax Portal is currently accessible to all physical persons and legal entities through the usernames and passwords used on the TAXISnet website.
All citizens and registered companies may access the platform directly or with the assistance of their legal representatives and perform the following operations:
i) obtain debt-related information
ii) request information regarding payments
iii) execute electronic payment operations
iv) register self-assessment tax
v) file temporary tax assessments
vi) register withholding taxes
The new digital Tax Portal is expected to be an easier, faster and more efficient way to manage all tax-related issues. According to the announcements of the Tax Departments, all tax payments as of September 1st of 2020 shall be operated electronically.
